Cees Idzenga has founded Weidz Transport B.V. on the 29^th of December 2005. The company name is composed from Van Weelden (IJkopnames B.V.) and Idzenga.
Cees has been raised on board his parents river vessel and active in inland shipping since the age of 19. After many years of experience as a secretary of a Cooperation of shipowners he started to work for himself.
Cees is also the owner/director of Van Weelden IJkopnames B.V. Six employees are already working for this company.

The name of the company Weidz comes from a Dutch expression “ Wijds and Zijds” which means that we are not only working on the Dutch market but even outside the Netherlands, as well as in inland shipping and even worldwide shipping, in other words, “ Everything is possible” .
